Parental Survival and The Hyperactive Child — Part Two: Challenges of The Child's Middle Years
Mary Reistroffer has been on the faculty of the University of Wisconsin-Extension since 1964 and holds the rank of Professor of Social Work. She has a baccalaureate degree from Marycrest College and a Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University of Chicago Her assignments within the Centre for Social Service include special subject matter courses and seminars relating to child placement and responsibility for the University's foster parent education program, operational since 1959. She is well known because of her publications and numerous program presentations throughout the United States, and Canada. She was guest speaker at the first Australian Foster Care Conference in 1979. Professor Reistroffer's publications include: Foster Family Care: A collection of Papers and Abstracts, published by the University (and re-published in Australia by the Children's Bureau), and Conversations No. 3: Foster Parents and Social Workers: On the Job Together, published by the Child Welfare League of America.
Helen Zuber McVey is the mother of two sons and educator with many years of classroom teaching experience. Currently, she is an assistant principal of an elementary school in the Milwaukee Public School System. Mrs. McVey has a baccalaureat degree from Marycrest College and a Master of Arts in Education from Washington University in St. Louis. She has been a Resource Lecturer in courses and seminars offered by University of Wisconsin-Extension since 1968, and has organizational and conference program experience relating to the learning disabled child.
