Who can submit an article?

Children Australia invites submissions from children, young people, carers, guardians, parents, practitioners, clinicians, academics, researchers, students and policymakers.

Articles in Children Australia present experiences, viewpoints, evidence or research relating to the welfare, wellbeing and development of children, young people and their families. Read more about the journal's aims and scope.

The journal welcomes articles including Letter to the editor, Commentary, Expert by experience, Original Research, Research Methods and Reporting, Review, Report and Case Report. Please refer to the article types page for descriptions and requirements of these.

Publishing policies describes the open access policy, authorship guidelines and publication ethics of the journal, including journal policies on use of inclusive language, publishing in Indigenous contexts and ethical and transparent research partnerships and reporting.
