Contribute to the journal
Contributing an article or news item is very simple and straightforward. Just upload your Word file into our Online Article Submission Form.
New authors are encouraged to seek assistance from our enthusiastic editorial team to prepare articles for submission: please contact the senior editor, Melissa Storey. There is also help available for the formatting of any figures/tables you may want to include in your article. If you require any assistance, please contact the journal manager, Melissa Storey.
When submitting an article for review, please follow our Instructions for Authors.
The answers to Frequently Asked Questions will also be helpful when contributing to the journal, and useful for reference throughout the publication process
Once you have submitted your article, it will go through the journal's refereeing process before it is included in the journal. You may view the refereeing process information before submitting an article.
Make sure you are logged in to the Journal before you attempt to submit an article or news item. If you are not yet registered with the journal, you can register now.
Why should I register?
Access to the information in Rural and Remote Health is unrestricted, but Registration takes Rural and Remote Health site users to a deeper level of journal usage. Registering your interest provides a password protected status page (for authors and reviewers) and access to the wider rural health community by registering your personal profile (optional). Included is the opportunity to select key words that describe your areas of interest so you can be notified about selected new articles.
You should register as a journal user if you:
- want to receive email alerts about publications in your nominated areas of interest
- intend to contribute an article (as the correspondence or co-author)
- are an article peer reviewer
- are a member of the Editorial Board
- are a Guest Editor
What do I have to do to register?
User registration requires the online submission of non-identifying information about your work and interests. You will be asked to nominate a confidential password, and you will have the opportunity to create a personal profile and optionally select your interest areas for notifications.
How long will it take?
The average time taken for registration is 3-5 minutes, however the speed of your Internet connection or your typing speed may increase this.
If you do not have a username or password, then please register and return to this page. If you've forgotten your password, go to log in, just fill in your email with the password blank and follow the easy instructions.
