Inter-Country Adoption: The Context of Recent Developments and the Need for Research
Brian was in charge of the Family Research Unit at the University of New South Wales from 1975 to 1983. He is now a senior lecturer in the School of Social Work. He is the author or co-author of three books and over 30 articles and papers on various aspects of marriage and families in Australia. His Ph.D. was on changes in marriage and family patterns in Australia since World War II. For the last 2 years he has been working with the New South Wales Department of Family and Community Services on the Inter Country Adoption follow-up study. At the same time he has been involved in some research organised by parent groups on the issues associated with older child adoption.
